"I mentioned to my SRS support coordinator, that we had been planning a family trip that I was feeling anxious about trying to determine how far I could walk, pushing through the pain to see the theme parks with my family- they explained that I could use my NDIS funding to hire a mobility scooter and that they would organise it for me.

 

When we arrived at our hotel in QLD the scooter was there waiting. I did not miss a thing with my family as I scooted around the parks and had no pain at the end of the day.

 

It was a such a special family holiday, and I would never have known about the supports available to me had it not been for SRS - I can't thank them enough."
